Titratable acidity in red wine vinegar

Hi - in the book ‘artisanal vinegar makers handbook’ it gives instructions on calculating acidity to 0.1% using titration. Under that method the tester has to look out for the colour change of the solution to work out the acidity level, however given that red wine vinegar is such an intense colour, is an alternative approach required for such intensely coloured vinegars given that it would mask the colour change in the agent meaning you couldn’t measure when the acid is neutralised?

- Take a lamp (flashlight, torch) and place it directly below the glass flask, so that the light shines through the liquid. This way you'll be able to recognize easier the change of color.

- Red wine becomes gray at the tipping point of the titration. Unfortunatelly, this gray color disappears again, if you go beyond this point.

Good luck!
